With Blackrock and other renowned asset managers calling employees back into the office, a general precedent is being set that working from home is a thing of the past in the asset management realm.
This is already having a substantial impact on recruitment, with a proportion of high calibre candidates not entering processes on the basis that they can only work from home one day a week.
It will be interesting to see if this persists and what effect it will have on the distribution of quality candidates across asset management moving forward.
