International Women's Day left quite a stamp on the industry this year, following strong industry-wide recognition and conversation surrounding this event. Each year, we are reminded to consider the importance of diversity and inclusion and how far the industry has come in enhancing this for women. 

Companies are conscious that the industry has a long way to go for the presence of female talent in contrast to its traditionally male dominated roots. Although there is a huge amount of work to be done across the board for diversity and inclusion, there is a lot to be said for International Women's Day as a reminder of what this day means to women and a time to recognise the women in the industry who have been role models in pioneering this continuing era of positive change.
