The UK came in second place for sustainability and innovation

Covid-19 has certainly accelerated the ESG agenda for investment firms, with Europe leading the way in adding talent in this space with a particular emphasis from Private Equity firms. The UK came in second place for sustainability and innovation.  The country’s strong ranking can be in part attributed to the UK government’s National Infrastructure Strategy announced in November 2020.  As a firm, we have recently supported many of our Infrastructure Investors in hiring ESG Consultants & Product Specialists, who will play a significant role in the growth of a platform outside of investment teams.  An area of growth and focus that will continue to play a leading role as a filter for investment teams, and no longer the exception but the rule for LP's.  Feel free to reach out to discuss my thoughts on how best an ESG solution should be implemented in an infrastructure investment platform, and how your competitors are shaping up for the future.

UK ranks sixth most attractive nation for infrastructure investment. 'The UK is the world’s sixth most attractive nation for infrastructure investment, according to the CMS Infrastructure Index: Accelerating transformation report.'
