The requirement for all companies to demonstrate the pay gaps between male and female employees is causing some angst in the Finance sector. The results are pretty damning and clearly something needs to be done. But before we make the necessary changes, do we really understand what drives all of these disparities? Our clients are rightly demanding of us a broader more diverse set of candidate slates - the challenges we and they face in meeting diversity recruiting targets may well require deeper thought.
