The debate around 'Active v Passive' management, somehow trying to asses which is best, could hopefully be consigned to the past. The mistake is to view this as an 'either or' choice between these very different products and outcomes. Both can and do co-exist very efficiently in forward thinking portfolio construction

UK investors remain confident in ability of active managers — survey
According to results from the 2016 MFS Active Management Sentiment study, actively managed strategies continue to dominate investment portfolios, and confidence in active management remains strong.
