PwC: asset and wealth management's 'do or die' moment

With increasing regulatory requirements, demand for greater transparency and the pressure on fees, is the future of Asset Management going to be machine led?

A study from PwC has warned asset and wealth managers that they need to act now to survive an 'exponential' level of change. The reports, titled Asset & Wealth Management Revolution: Embracing Exponential Change, predicts that assets under management (AUM) will almost double in size by 2025, from $84.9 trillion (£64.4 billion) in 2016 to $111.2 trillion by 2020, reaching $145.4 trillion by 2025.
